Gaîté Parisienne. The music of Jacques Offenbach (1819-1880) as orchestrated by Manuel Rosenthal (1904-2003) for ballet. Arthur Fiedler (1894-1979) conducting the Boston Pops Orchestra. In the mid 1940's RCA Victor began to experiment with using vinyl for some 78 rpm issues. The records were a translucent red vinyl and were issued with premium pricing. These issues were some of the best 78 rpm records ever made. This recording went on to become the first RCA Victor 33 1/3 rpm LP issue in 1948. Transfer from the original 1947 RCA Victor "Red Seal De Luxe" 78 set DV-9 by Bob Varney.
